"...This energy tax will mean the loss of upwards of ONE MILLION JOBS or more in an economy that is still reeling from the worst unemployment figures since Jimmy Carter in the late 1970s. Companies that are engaged in the refining, production, and delivery of our energy will be hit with such oppressive taxation that they WILL lay off workers to save money. That means that if you work in ANY field that is directly involved with the sale and delivery of fuel, your job will be at high risk. People who work in the electricity industry, oil refinery workers, natural gas personnel, and those who deliver heating oil to millions of homes will be at high risk for losing their jobs..."
